Training schedules will be provided online and at the first meeting. Saturday runs will be with the group at Seneca Park; Tuesday nights will meet at Waggner High school for either interval sessions or group runs, depending on the runner's experience level.
Participants will receive a goodie bag after the first Saturday run on Jan. 10. All participants attending at least 12 Saturday runs will receive a special performance running tee; those who complete all four races will receive a special gift.
Members of the training group receive 15% off shoes and 20% off apparel for the duration of the group. Special shoe fitting sessions will be scheduled to ensure exceptional one-on-one service with trained Ken Combs staff.
Routes
Training groups:
- Beginners — runners and walkers just starting out, with little current weekly mileage base. Perfect for those who are interested mainly in the spring races.
- Intermediate — recreational runners with a current base of 10-15 miles per week and who have run most of the race distances before.
- Experienced — runners who maintain at least 15 miles per week, who have completed previous half-marathons and are looking to improve.
